West Kathmandu Football Club(WKFC) was founded in 2015 A.D in Western part of Kathmandu, capital city of Nepal. The home ground is located at Naikap, Chandragiri named as Naikap Football Ground which holds the history of 20-25 years .Every year local tournaments are organized with large number of fan following each year. Since then we are participating in many sports activities nationally and internationally, organizing tournaments, volunteering in different sports activities.
At the beginning our founder president was MR. Manoj kumar Thapa Magar, the club was formed and his team has completed two successful working year (2015-2017). After that Mr. Sunder Thapa, the former National player has been leading the club since 2017. West Kathmandu Football Club (WKFC) successfully has become one of the popular football clubs in Kathmandu within short span of time. After competing in different tournaments the club has achieved one runner up title from (3rd Western united cup 2016) and the club has been competing in C division league every year.
Vision and Mission
After producing 3 National players and other talented players from this area the Football activities was almost stopped because of political condition of the country, lack of exposures , no proper plans from National sports council .many talented players stopped play .to make a better future of Nepalese Football and to make a platform to new talents ,and produce new football talents this club is established .working on it .firstly we stared coaching camps for age groups 8-19 mostly the school students and people from the region.
